Nomads Twice Pegged Back in Entertaining Draw at Hyde

There was no shortage of drama at Hyde United on Thursday evening as Anstey Nomads twice fought back to earn a share of the spoils in a 2-2 league draw.

Hyde took an early lead and the Nomads had to dig in before finding an equaliser midway through the first half with a neat finish from the left channel. The hosts retook the lead before the break, leaving the Nomads with it all to do.

But this squad has character in abundance. A determined second-half display saw the Nomads press higher and higher, and the equaliser came with twenty minutes remaining - a header from a corner that sent the travelling support wild.

Neither side could find a winner in a breathless finish. A point on the road is never to be sniffed at, and the spirit shown to come back twice bodes well for the weeks ahead.
